Course Outline
· Interactive Simulations: Experience real-life workplace situations that bring DEI challenges to life, and practise how to respond.
· Case-Based Reflections: Work through local scenarios that reflect challenges and opportunities in Singapore’s public service.
· Team-Based Challenges: Solve inclusion dilemmas in small groups and pitch your solutions for building inclusive workplaces.
· Commitment Wall: Make a DEI pledge and share your action plan.
Course Objectives
By the end of this seminar, you will be able to:
· Define DEI and understand its significance in Singapore’s Public Service
· Identify how unconscious bias and inequity show up in workplace practices
· Reflect on your own role in fostering an inclusive culture
· Preview content from all three DEI training modules:
o “DEI 101: Understanding Diversity, Equity & Inclusion”
§ A foundational course introducing key DEI concepts and why they matter.
o “The DEI Playbook: From Knowledge to Action”
§ An intermediate course focused on applying DEI in hiring, team dynamics, and workplace policies.
o “Championing DEI: Leadership in Action”
§ An advanced course for leaders and senior officers seeking to embed DEI into strategy and culture.
